for a long time I am considering re-installing win 10 on the not so new ultrabook.
it became pretty slow and Skype always disappears and requires new installation.
so finely, got myself to create a boot up USB stick.
followed the instructions to download Microsoft creation tool V1903.
when trying to create the boot up tool on the USB stick, I got error code 0x80042405 – 0xA001B.
started to look for an answer around the web.
finally found a thread about this error on TenForums, and on the last page of the thread, the last comment by Mortiferon had a pretty simple solution that does not require spacial apps and tools.
and it worked.
I managed to create the boot up USB stick.
have not used it yet, maybe tomorrow.
the solution is below,
Quick format USB drive NTFS.
Put ‘MediaCreationTool1903’ onto USB drive.
Right-click and ‘Run as Administrator’.
Installation media for another PC…
Architecture BOTH (x32 and x64)
