Chevrolet Captiva headlight removal

I bought the Captiva, 2nd generation, a few months back.
I was looking for a car that could tow a 1.5 ton trailer and get it up the sidewalk step.
the Hyundai I30 I had, could tow up to 1.2 ton and had a very difficult time to get the lighter trailer over the sidewalk step.

I found the Captiva in a car trade around, and bought it without much investigating.
I noticed that the right headlight was dirty inside.
so I took it off to discover that both dust caps are missing, so this is the reason for all the dirt inside.

I went to the doctor, google, and asked about the dust caps.
I found my answer on the chevtoletownerclub forum.

with the part numbers, I started asking around the doctor, google.
on Amazon different sites and on ebay, I could find only one cap and it was expansive.
found both for a very reasonable price in koraps, but the shipping is high and they cannot ship due to covid-19. found it also on korea parts store for the same price, but they would not give me a quote for shipping.

one day, my wife, with her car, came home from shopping, couldn’t find a parking spot on the street, so she came into the garden parking, the children kick scooters were leying around and she ran it over, blowing the front wheel, which I replaced just 2 weeks earlier.

I wanted to put the spare tire on. well, tried to.
could not get it on, and also noticed that the tire is smaller than the full size tire. very odd.
someone somewhere, replaced the original tire with a smaller one that does not fit.
who thought of checking the spare tire size when buying a second hand car? just checked that its there.
I called a wrecker and eventually found the correct spare tyre. they sent it to a garage (my mechanic) who is located close by to the Chevrolet dealer.

so I picked up the tire and stopped at the Chevrolet dealer.
asked about the dust covers, both cost about 10 Euros including tax and will be there in 1-2 working days.

picked the covers up a few days later,
came home, took the headlight off, washed it and managed to get most of the dirt out.
well, its not like new, but much better then before.

dust covers in place, no dust for you now.
decided to video the process of taking out and installing the head light.
maybe someone will find it useful.

when I went to pick up the trim removal tools from the shed, I discovered that the Hyundai I30 dust cover is exactly the same as one of the Captivas. I had it there all this time.
different part numbers but exactly the same part.
